# Contract Types

YFX V4 supports linear and inverse contracts.

## Linear contract&#x20;

Also known as "USD-based contract." When trading linear contracts, traders can use stable coins (USDC or USDT) as margins to go long or short BTC, ETH, and other coins.&#x20;

## Inverse contract

Also known as "Coin-based contract" When trading inverse contracts, traders can use ETH as a margin to trade ETH/USD contracts.&#x20;
